Package m2crypto

No one is working on this package now. You can visit pkgdb for links to the upstream project. Ask for Python 3 status, and coordinate work with the upstream to port.

If upstream has Python 3 support but it is not yet in Fedora, get in touch with the Fedora maintainer (also visible in pkgdb).

See m2crypto in the Fedora Pagure, or go directly to the corresponding spec file.

Upstream ?

Matěj Cepl is porting m2crypto to Python 2, see the linked pull request.

rodrigc submitted many fixes upstream. Some were merged.

Fedora I

Suggested replacement: python-cryptography (or Python standard library).

While upstream is making progress porting m2crypto, moving to the cryptography module, and the cryptography features in Python's standard library, seems to be a better long-term option for dependent projects.

On the other hand with the package ported, downstream users won't have to port their crypto to new library.
